Thanks for the replies everyone. WOW. You learn something new about CAH every day. I never really focused on the florinef. It seems it is all about the Cortef. I just read a post here that some use a little more on those extreme hot days as we ALL have been enduring! Didn’t know you can do that. I suppose as long as you don’t abuse it. I am so glad to hear others change their dosage amounts too. (sigh of relief) I do know we changed it to splitting the one pill in half and giving one half at night and one in the morning. I would like to educate myself more on what Florinef does for the CAH patient. I know it helps retain salt, and too much can cause high blood pressure. Maybe Carol can elaborate. I didn’t realize their salt intake could also affect their renin levels. Very interesting. Thanks everyone. That is why I love this board. You can bounce things off like this and get peace of mind.
