My daughter was born with swcah and has been growing just fine up until her last visit at the endo. she was born 2 months early and also with downs syndrome.( her growth is charted on a down sydrome chart and she is still below the 5th %)  as i said she was growing just fine until her last visit. she is now 14 months old,  16 lbs and and 26 in. long.  at her last visit the doctor lowered her cortef dose and said to bring her back in three months... well since then she has only grown 1 inch.  now they are checking all her levels to make sure everything is fine.. they dont want to do the test for checking her growth hormone because she is so young and the test takes so long.  Her cortef dose is supposed to be given 3 x’s a day....every eight hours. sometimes she gets it sooner than every eight hours and at night she sleeps longer than eight hours. Could this be causing the problem? Just wondering if anyone has any more info that might help. Thanks!
