TinaHi there, my daughter was on the liquid compound for more thank six and a half years. For the first two years she was on the orange liquid that they took off the market. From then on we had the pharmacist compound it monthly. When we got a new pedi. Endo. he recommended we have it compounded weekly. and we did that for three years and we never had a problem. She took such a small dose 0.9cc three times a day. She had been on the same dose since birth. We never had a problem, she was growing well all of the labs always came back great. Then in March after dealing with two months of my daughter crying and not wanting to go to school, and being very uresonable we finally had her labs checked. Sure enough she had out grown her dose. She is now on the pill form, 1/2 tab three times a day. The bone age is still fine, before it was two years behind her age it is now about one year behind. Still, not bad. For some kids the dose is sooooo small, compounding works well.
