I have two children with CAH (simple virilizers). They both have had growth problems, which I mention frequently with the endo (although she tends to be a bit dismissive). My first child’s growth seemed suppressed until she was 22 months old. Then between 22-28 months, she gained six pounds and grew significantly. Currently, at almost 5, she is on-track to be 5’2" (my height), so I am satisfied. My son, on the other hand, hasn’t experienced a comparable surge in growth as of yet--at nearly 3, his growth appears to be significantly below that of same-aged peers (although we have seen some improvement within the past few months).

My daughter has been on the same dose of Cortef since the age of 15 months. I believe she was over-medicated earlier and has simply "grown into" the dose. I believe the same is occurring for my son. I am interested in learning more about dosing according to circadian rhythms; therefore, I will read up on that practice.
