cklhi
i got my sons(6 months old) labs done.
his 17 ohp came out to be 0.42 ng/ml which is o.k, dhea is 15 (below normal),
cortisol is 26.5 which is slighlty high and acth is 13 which is normal as well.
all his lab results at time of his birth were out of range and only dhea was normal which was 88 at that time, but now as he is on regular meds all his tests are normal whereas his dhea which was normal then is below normal now.
i wish to know why his dhea is below range now and if it is of any relevance.
i asked my pead and she said that dhea which signifies testestrone levels is not of much relevance at this age as not much testestrones are being generated while a boy is an infant.
i want to know that when pathologist have regularised some ranges then his level being below the normal rangel must be of some importance.can somebody ellaborate for me please.
thanks
