This winter my daughter had a cough and cold for a long time.  Because she didn’t have the usual symptoms for a stress dose we didn’t stress dose.  We did her labs and her 17ohp came back at 6000!  Everything else looked good so we waited until she was healthy and redid her labs which came back normal.  After all this we talked to her endo about when to stress dose as she obviously needed to be stress doesed and wasn’t.  Her endo said if she is sick enough to stay home from school than stress does her.  I really like that she gave us the okay on this because every winter my daughter gets an illness like this that ends up lasting for over a month.  Probably it lasts so long because she is not getting enough meds.  Julia
