Ok don’t laugh, my daughter is my one and only. I wanted to keep her home as long as possible so I sent her to preschool at age 5.  She started kindergarten at age 6. Her birthday is in July. Preschool had this meeting called kindergarten preparations. There were moms there that started their children off "late" to kindergarten because they said the it gave them an edge. They would be the older children of their class AND this would pay off come puberty. They would be more mature than the rest of their class. They said some other stuff but can’t remember way back then. (A big 5 years ago) But it all made some good sense to send them later so we did.
