exams at endo visit

Lately for those of you that know me, I’ve been very focused on the surgery discussion.  Yet I still feel very new to CAH.  I can only know sometimes what is normal by asking questions on this site.  My daughter had her 6 month endo visit.  First the doctor’s assistant who is a pediatric doctor comes in and asks how are moods? etc.  Than he looks in her eyes and does a routine listen to the heart, check ears exam.  Than he checks her genitals.  My daughter did not like him looking at her mostly because she doesn’t remember seeing him a year ago.   Than her endo comes in and checks her genitals.  I know they want to look for any increase in virilization because she has not had surgery.  The exam is quick and I told her sometimes at the doctor they have to check your vagina along with the rest of the body.  Is this what other people have done for their kids at endo visits or is my daughter getting looked at because she has had no surgery?  Let me know what you think.  I’m afraid for any kid that comes over to play and they pick "doctor" as something to do.  My kid will probably think checking below the belt is routine.  How have others handled this?
