LauraI think he is fine too. I am sure your husband is more upset then he is. As long as there was no broken bones or stitches I think you are good to go. The E.R. would have directed you to inject Solu Cortef or did it themselves. He sounds like he is doing ok for taking that spill down the steps. They are pretty tough.
Tell your husband not to feel bad. I was SO tired one night when my daughter was probably 4 months old and I was carrying her to bed after pacing the floor trying to get her to sleep, when I walked her head right into the door frame of her bedroom as she slept in my arms. Needless to say she woke up, crying. My husband took her immediately and she calmed down after a few minutes. And then she was awake for another 4 hours, smiling and playing once again. Yeah, she calmed down after the few minutes, but I was the one that continued to cry for the rest of the evening because I felt SO bad. Ah the joy of parenthood. How do they survive us? Thank goodness they are forgiving little souls.
