What is your grown-up’s height and weight? (August 2006)

Hi Chloe, I can assure you and anyone else that the pump has worked wonders for my son. He has been using it for almost two years now and has never felt better. His levels are perfect, his weight good, he doesn’t suffer headaches anymore. His blood results show his cortisol control mimics that of a normal person following the circadian rhythm, he goes to the gym three times a week, something he was never able to do before. He also gained growth that he would not have got, if he had not been on it. After having missed so much schooling over the years, he has just achieved top grades for A level and secured a place at University, something I never thought he would be well enough to achieve!

Can ask you who said they have to make sure it is right? It is using hydrocortisone that most use but delivering it by a different method and this way you can get the dose exact by the smallest amount as anytime of the day you need it. So easy too give extra when you need it by the press of a button! It does take getting used to wearing etc but my son is so used to it now. I am so pleased that you are doing better now on the dex, that’s good news! I think the whole thing with treatment is getting the right dose as and when you need it.
