re: exams at endo visit
Aug. 21st, 2006   4:50pm

before my daughter had her surgery she was getting her genitals examined each visit to the endo. to see if there were any changes in appearance. but since the surgery they’ve only been examined twice. her surgery was in Nov ’05. @9months old. There shouldn’ be any reason the endo should still be examining unless you suspect a problem. The blood work should be enough. that’s his specialty. Think about it, even if there was a change in appearance what can the endo do about it except take lab work and make sure he/she is dosing your child correctly. and refer you to a surgeon. and that’s only if you even want surgery for your child.  Just another point of view.
