I agree with the advice that a missed dose will not do much harm, as long as your child has been feeling well and the labs have been normal recently. I have SWCAH and am 28 years old.  I’ve missed quite a few without ever having a crises, but I do realize that I get withdrawal symptoms if I haven’t had my Cortef.  My endo. recommends taking the full dose as soon as I realize I have forgotten, and if it is close to my next dosing I take only 1/2 of the missed dose and the next regular dosing.  That usually makes me feel better.

I must say that I am in awe of how great all of you parents are with your timing of medications and your children!  I think there seems to be a greater understanding of CAH now vs. when I was a child, and the importance of how missed doses and not enough meds. could lead to a catastrophe.  Keep up the good work, and hopefully your children will learn from your examples!
