Our daughter is now 15.  She had always been on hydro twice a day and did very well on it until puberty.  We then had to go to three times a day from the time she was 11 until just about 2 weeks ago.  She is now on dex and we’ll get her bloodwork done in 2 more weeks to see how her levels are on it.  This allows her to only need to take meds twice a day and we may even be able to reduce it to once.  So yes, we did find that she needed that extra dose during puberty.  Now our son, SWCAH, age 12 1/2, is in the same situation.  he’s on cortef 3x a day.  Best of luck.
