re: teenager oversuppression questions

Thanks to all who responded to my post.  We just met Friday morning with the endocrinologist and he feels that it is NOT the Cortef doses (the amount, distrubution schedule or otherwise) that is making her gain weight.  We checked the records while there and she has gained 12.5 lbs in 6 months and only grew 1 inch in height.  She raised her medication to 5 mg more and wants her retested in 30 days.  He also said her testosterone was high.  She is having regular periods (hurray from a hopeful future grandma) and her acne seems okay except the blackheads.  He says she doesnt need to diet but that she needs to watch her eating habits and to forego any seditary activity.  I hate to see her gaining.  She is so very pretty and to think she may have this "problem" forever is very sad to me.  Thoughts?
