KarenDon’t you have to be 18 (or at least pass for 18) to get a tattoo by a licensed artist? (And I wouldn’t let someone unlicensed near my kid.) If so, the question is moot.
I hate jewelry too, so I wore the sports bracelet from MedicAlert for awhile. Then I hated people asking me what I wore it for (unless you’re an EMT, I think it’s none of your business), so I switched to a necklace. Now I’m back to the bracelet again, but this time a regular one with the emblem facing down so it’s not obviously MedicAlert.
I sometimes take mine off, but always keep my MedicAlert card right next to my license in my wallet. If you’re in an accident they always look for your ID. BUT, they probably don’t do that with kids.
