I don’t know but since I have swcah myself, I have always thought a crisis is brought on by some other event. Such as an injury or an illness such as stomach flu. The times when I guess I could say I’ve had a crisis are when I’ve had stomach flu, and would be vomiting alot and then get dehydrated.
So in those cases I would say to expect that there could be an adrenal crisis and give the solu-cortef shot. I’ve noticed some people on here seem to talk about a crisis as a random thing. As if you could be walking down the street feeling perfectly fine and then bam, you’re struck with an adrenal crisis. I don’t think this is true. And I think this is causing alot of unnecessary concern for new parents on this board.
