My 20 mo dd has a bad gag reflux also which fortunatley seems to be getting better with age. I remember when she was 10 months, I kissed her and kind of made a pucker, high pitch sound with my lips and that made her spit up all over the place. I couldn’t believe that something like that could make her spit up. We’ve always made fun of her because she’ll gag if you try and feed her with a spoon or with certain kind of foods...but she can eat rocks, dirt, paper and such with NO PROBLEM...what gives? I dont think the sodium supplement helps...I’ve often wondered if that’s the cause of their gagginess? Babies aren’t meant to drink salt water :)Kristy
I was thinking with your sons vomiting, maybe he’s allergic to something that he’s eating and that’s causing it?? I assume he’s on formula because of his night time bottle? is it dairy?...the muffin and pasta most likely had dairy in them also... I wonder if he’s having a reaction to the dairy? It is the most common allergen..the others being soy, wheat, corn, citrus, eggs, and nuts. Is he having any other signs like continuous runny nose, rash, diarrhea, gas pains, etc..??? If so, you may want to eliminate them from his diet for around 2 weeks to see if things go a little bit better?
just a thought
all the best
