I an assuming this comment about PID was only used as an example........ but please keep in mind that someone who is infertile or having problems getting pregnant REGARDLESS of the cause...... experiences as much pain as anyone else. It is hard to compare a silly young girl at 17 having unprotected sex and getting PID to someone who would KNOW that this would cause infertility.  Now 16 years later and trying to conceive can one realize that being young and care free has a price and a penalty. Is it self inflicted ????   I don’t think so!!! She did not CHOOSE to not have protection she just did not know any better at the time . Too immature obviously and  at that time maybe all the  knowledge of pelvic inflammatory disease was not out there. Plus when you are first sexually active you are not thinking of having children you are experimenting with sexuality and sex.The pain of not having your biological child goes WAAAAAY BEYOND the cause. This is trully a sensitive issue for all and no blame needs to be placed on any one cause. It is what it is and hopefully this can be corrected and the people who want to have children will be able too! I feel my daughters pain and see it in her eyes everytime she see’s a baby.
