bonnieWe’re a weird case. My son is "only" a carrier. He started having adult body odor at 7 and because my daughter had had early puberty I got very nervous and had him tested. The first doctor said he had CAH but since it was very mild and his bone age was on track we shouldn’t treat but should wait. It the meantime I saw another doctor who did genetic testing. Once we knew he was only a carrier it was very hard to get him treated with cortef. Than his bone age suddenly started to advance - by about 2 1/2 years in 1 year or something. So doctor 2 put him on Arimidex. The bone age kept advancing and I thought cortef would work so she let us try a low dose and since than the bone age has been very good. Although I haven’t gotten his last result yet. I also remember doctor 1 saying that they have boys who have finished puberty who have taken Arimidex and they have viable sperm. So that’s another piece of good news.
