I also am dealing with this question, as my daughter’s 17ohp level was in the carrier range on the stim test, yet she has all the symptoms of LOCAH. I do know that she was required to be off of Yasmin, a bcp, which she takes for irregular periods, for several months before the stim test, so taking hormones could affect the test. I also wonder if the test was done accurately (the dr didn’t seem to know much about it), and finally, there are other kinds of CAH. They didn’t check anything on my daughter’s test except 17 ohp, cortisol, and dheas (which went DOWN!?).
