The steroid medication can cause sleep difficulties and indigestion for some people. Our salt-waster is now a boy of nearly six, but we well remember him tossing and turning all night as though he were having stomach cramps. This was much worse if we had to double-dose due to illness.

He had his daily dosage reduced many times over that first year (as do many swCAH children), and has no such problems now.
