DEFINATELY get the flu shot. Flu by itself kill many people each year.

We have never stressed dose for this shot. BUT about a day or two after my daughter that has SWCAH (9 yrs old) gets the some symptoms from the shot. They say you can’t get the flu from the shot, but you can have some side effects. Well my daughter always got some side affect. Sometimes she ran fevers, runny nose, cough. Sometimes it was just a runny nose right afterward, but especially when she was a toddler we seemed to have the fever, runny nose and cough all together. So now that she is in school I try to schedule her flu shot on the Friday after school so she has the weekend to "recover" and she gets some solid sleep to help her body adjust to the shot.
