Absolutely YES get the flu shot.  My CAH daughter has received it each year and never had any side effects.  My husband is diabetic and my elderly mother used to live with me until recently, so they were also high risk which qualified me for the shot as well.  Even if the flu should happen to be a different strain and the shot didn’t offer immunity, my dr. says it can lessen the effects of the flu.  It looks like there will be adequate amounts of vaccine this year which is a good thing.  Good luck.
