I did scan through an article that mentioned early studies about I believe long term cortisone use and issues with the heart. I just went something else but this is an interest to me. I’ve been told that I have a low normal heatbeat and low blood pressure.

I’m 36 and been told I look 27. Was never sick really until I hit the 30’s. Feel pretty good most days, work 40  plushours plus at a job that I like, have a great endo that i expect a lot out of and I love the new primary Doc.

It seems though whenI do get sick in the last couple of years that it’s been more than a cold - was in the hospital last month for this virus that most people don’t need the hospital for (gastro doc stated the hydrocortisone had something to do with it)  and had a touch of pancerautitis (sp) plus a fatty liver .  I’m a cancer survivor for two years and when I told the chemo doc about the gall bladder surgery in Jan 06 he smiled and went "escaped another one" I have a (thyroid condition hashimoto’s thyroid)  that I hope doesn’t turn into a cancer. It’s ok now with the synthroid.  I like to think that me and the slacker adrenal gland are doing just fine even with the flu slamming every year.

As for the pottasium? I tend to lose that tossing my cookies. Life Expectancy? I don’t know but would like to hang around as long as I’m meant to.

I also worry about the liver and what happens taking the cortisones, fosomax +D, and synthroid but I try not to think about it that much. I once had an Er Doc in 2001 tell me that he though I was going to "expire" because of the anemia that I had that may or may of not been start of the cancer. With the anemia? my oxygen level was nextto nothing and they couldn’t understand how I was walking and talking. Normal is 12 and i was like three. here thought I was doing super with the CAH and almost bought it from something else. I think that we can live just as long as anyone else. I had a doc share with me about someone he took care of with chronic conditions and then he told me that she died. It bothered me that he told me but I also thought that one needs to make the most of waht we can while here on earth.
