Jill Mariei know my testosterone levels were always high butthe doc said i had pcos and there was nothing they could do for me. that i should look into hair removal options.
according to my endo, he says now that my levels are righ, with steriod use, that the hair should look improved by a year from the reg levels. he said a hair follicle has a 9 month life span. so even though the levels are good it will take the original hairs the full 9 months to grow and fall out. i will believe it when i see it.
the hair has been a problem since senior year but only recently-- a big weight gain, swelling, loss of period and hair loss on my head drove me to an endo for testing.
the only time in my life the hair was lessened was during my pregnancies.... Not knowing i had cah i was put on steriods due to premature labor--
my endo said that could have made all the difference with my 3 kids development. my daughter was born with vaginal adhesions though. never know if it is related or not, i guess.
