They are talking about "too much" in terms of the too much that steroid abuse results in, which is often T-levels of 900 ng/dl or more. I think that perhaps anyone with CAH in danger of nerve damage from that high a T-level, was already in danger of other health risks from the processes required for their level to go that high in the first place.
