i really thank you for such a thoughtful answer.
i’ll tell u y the doc withdrew samples to check for cah.
on 10 th day of my son’s birth ,he cried the whole night and the next day we took him to our family pead.he though it was just internal gas which was troubling him(normal among new borns ) and gave him collic aid and neurospaas(i dont by which retail name they are known in the U.S).
according to me they overdosed the baby as they gave both the meds wthin 8 hours and and i got worried if the baby wont sleep too much because of that.
ditto, that night at home he was too sleepy and stoped taking his mums feed after midnight.i was underimpression that was just overdosing.but when his drowsiness doesnt go until 2 in the noon,we again took him to the pead and he gave him some i.v(glucose). 6 in the morning he told the baby had a seizure and it was good if you take him to a bigger hospial.
there our present pead asked for electrolytes testing where his potassium was 7.7(too high) and na was 135 which i think was pretty normal.
another thing was, that two years earlier my wife delivered a baby girl at a small private nursing home with her clitoris overdeveloped but doctors at that time didnt know what was the reason for that.unfortunately the baby expired.
so firstly due to high potassium, secondly our previous tragedy which the doctors presumed was an untreated case of cah,and seizure, they tested him for cah.
acth was not a stem test but normal acth.
on our last visit to our pead i asked the question about when a thing is not produced in our body(cortisol) then how can it be so high than normal.she was taken aback herself that y she missed that point but, then took a few secs and said that cortisol levels are not much of a consideration in diagnosing cah.
but i wasnt able to digest the diagram she showed in her book.the book showed a breaking of pathway where cortisols are supposed to be produced.so when the path is cut how can cortisols be high.our pead is just a pead so i thought to go to another city where there is a pead endo and ask her some questions.
why i insisted to have your comments is so that i know what i have to ask her.
i checked again the dhea-sulphate serum is tested in ug/dl,his dhea after four months was <15 ug/dl.(LOW).
i havnt talked with my wife about this as i dont want her to build up hopes unneccessarily so i want to be sure for everything myself which is why i need your help.
thanks again.....
