Obviously everyone is different- but I thought I would share my younger son’s levels with you- but please keep in mind my boys’ have hypoplasia and not hyperplasia.
At 5 weeks of age, my younger son was admitted to the local Children’s Hospital due to severe failure to thrive issues and at the assistance of his peds (who I credit with saving his life). The ER ran a BMP and found my Johnny’s NA level was 98- yes 98. He was immediatly admitted to the PICU and they ran further testing, including a Cortisol level (this was done @ around midnight the night he was admitted) because they immediatly assumed it was either adrenal insuff. His cortisol levels were 17 (not sure of the measurement) so the endos were really scratching their heads..... it didn’t add up. Here they had a 5 week old kid knocking at death’s door from a salt wasting crisis but his cortisol levels seemed within the normal range. I think the docs have determined that he was in such critical shape that his boday was doing its best to produce cortisol- we will never know.
Not sure if this helps in any way- but wanted to share
