MarthaMThru some trial and error- my SW CAH boys are 7 and 10- I have founde that I dose the kids at bedtime (I am talking about when they are sick) double or triple depending on how sick and give motrin- then I set my alarm and dose 6-7 hours later with cortef, motrin and a sweet drink.
I am not a worrier and I never used to wake my kids up, but a couple of times my kids have waken up (or rather I had to wake them up) in pretty bad shape- anyway that is what I do now and it seems to work. My kids dont seem to get sick as often as they have gotten older.
Good luck.
It does get easier!
