Hi M,

We’ve actually "spoke" through personal email in regard to what happened to your son. You and your family are always in my prayers.

I actually talked to our endo and pedi about our son, his SWCAH, and ulcers (peptic specifically) after you told me what happened to your son. I wondered if you felt that you had a good endo...and that your son was monitored well? Our endo (who is highly respected from Johns Hopkins) said that it would be unlikely b/c we are putting into his system what he doesn’t produce himself. And that it would be a different story if a person was getting too high of a dose of steroids (more than his body needed). Or at least that is how I understood what she was trying to explain to me. Now...I didn’t ask her about taking it on an empty stomach (without milk or food), so I maybe that could cause problems. I will ask her.

I appreciate that you are sharing your story and again, I’m terribly sorry for the loss of your son and may God bless you and your family.
