LOCAH is usually a lot milder than classical CAH, but some people have it worse than others. Crises are not common in LOCAH, but not unheard of either (I’ve had one). Some people have it very mild and don’t need steroids; others need them. As far as when it’s diagnosed - anywhere from toddler-aged ’til middle-aged. Some people are never diagnosed. (I suspect my father had it as well, but he was never tested.)
