Did anyone see "All My Children" today?  There was a scene where a woman (Krystal) was deciding whether she should bother to get a CVS screen since it wouldn’t change how she felt about having the baby.  Trying to convince her that it could help them be prepared for what may come the doctor said "it can help detect disorders like Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia before birth".......which could let them know how to treat the new born and help prevent an unecessary death.  (I’m not so sure about the last part but that was the gist of it.

I was pretty excited that the focus was solely on the life and death threat part of having CAH for a change.
