I feel your pain. I severely sprained my ankle in high school and tore ligaments in a basketball game. A spectator heard it crack but it wasn’t broken! My ankle swelled to my knee. Leg and everything. Lots of ice the first 3-4 days. Then alternate heat and ice. Whirlpool it if you can or soak in a warm bath. Mine really started hurting when the swelling was coming down also. Mostly at night. I would stress dose the first couple days. I did.
Use those crutches! Get well.
