Thank you collette for sharing your story.  When my three year old was first born I read alot of opinions/objections to the surgery at a young age.  But the doctors recommended the sooner the better and I went with my gut ....you have reassured me that I did the right thing by my daughter.  You have a very brave daughter and I wish her many years of happiness.

Ps.  On one of the posts I read that one of the mom’s is seeing a Gynecologist for her child needing surgery.....  I wanted anyone who is sent to a gynecologist to know, we were first sent to a gyn surgeon and he had no idea what to do and brought in a plastic surgeon (what????) since i had done some reading i knew that wasnt the route to go and went with a very qualified Pediatric Urologist (Atlanta, GA).
