ToniaI haven’t had time to read all the posts here but get the idea. :) So if I repeat what someone else has sad, sorry. We keep solu cortef in a prepared medical bag that goes every where with us. The girls’ best friends houses have a kit, the grandparents and aunts have kits. I do have a vial with all the supplies to inject in the car should I need it (or get forgetful) and leave without the med bag. I will say, there was a time I was really "off my game" and left the med bag in the car overnight and discovered no other vials in the house. This is not the norm here but things happen. The problem with me leaving it in the car at that particular time is that it was about 10 degrees outside and the vial was way too cold to inject at that moment. We got through it. And she was eventually injected and taking to the ER. The other thing about expiration dates is you need to check- the expiration date on the vial not the prescription. By law every prescription expires in a year from the date it was filled but most of our vials are good until 2009.
Be prepared but live life and you’ll be happy. :)
Blessings,
Tonia
