My 21 year old daughter has told me she always knows when she needs the shot.  She describes it as a sleepy feeling.  I remeber a specific time she learned it.   She had been camping with friends at about 16 years of age.   The freinds dropped her at her grandmas house.  My mom called and told me she was acting sleepy and didn’t want to answer questions.  I rushed from work and gave her an inj myself as we could not find out if she had given one herself.  The accompanying problem, was low blood sugar.  I forced some small sips of soda pop.  She recovered nearly immediately.  We all started watching for this behavior when she was sick or hurt.  She knows it now and gives herself the inj.
