GretchenOkay, here’s the issue...my daughter has had "spotting" and not in a normal 28 day cycle. I don’t know if it is a period...no other infections are present, we had Urologist check that. Also, she is EXTREMELY tired...stamina is definitely changed from the norm for her. She is having trouble dealing with small viruses or things like flu shots, etc. What could this be? I read a study of some Endo about cortisol not being absorbed during puberty for CAH patients? Anyone heard of such things? Regular Docs all say, "Normal for puberty" DUH...but it is just extreme fatigue, if you ask me. Endo was interested, but he also has told me that my daughter is his first teenage firl with CAH...oh Lucky us!! LOL
Also, the issue of getting hit hard with EVERY illness that goes around school is getting out of control. This poor girl has missed over 50% of school this year. (Don’t worry...she gets Home Instruction Tutor provided and maintains a 4.0 GPA...) Anyone experience similar issues during puberty? Also interested about the cortisol absorbtion during this time....bloodwork was 4 days ago, won’t ahve results for a few weeks. Last blood draw, the 17 OH was still a little elevated.
