My daughter has been diagnosed with CAH late in life.  She is about 3-1/2 years old and has been on Cortef about 2 months.  I don’t understand what the 2 surgeries do and why the controversy of I wanted to be part of the decision making process why did my parents do the surgey when I was young and then older women saying I wish my parents would have done my surgery earlier.  Am I correct that there is two surgeries.  One to make the clitoris smaller and than another to enlargen the opening?  Am I missing any information.  I would love several responses on what the surgery actually physically does and opinions on feelings and timing of the surgeries.
