Hi Karen!  I have 2 daughters both with sswcah.  My oldest was born virilized and due to infections became septic and the surgery was not really a choice for us (her urethra needed to be re routed).  Our youngest has an enlarged clitoris but no other problems.  The drs told us we should have surgery for her ASAP.  NO WAY!  There is nothing wrong with her.  I think many parents can feel so much stress and pressure that they have the surgery for their daughter without really looking into if they should.  It’s really nobody’s fault  but it is something that needs to be looked at more thoroughly.
