cristiArimidex and Letrozole are both aromatase inhibitors and are both used to prevent the bone age from advancing. The confusion about which medication to use for my son is because he is on the borderline with his age (9 1/2) and the start of puberty. I didn’t think the testosterone was that bad either but apparently the doctor says that the marker for the start of puberty is the LH level, which was 0.46. I don’t know if his testicles have gotten bigger because my husband took him to his last appt. and didn’t ask. I get so frustrated sometimes after talking to the doctor because it seems like I always have more questions after we talk but I can never get a hold of him and when I do finally talk to him he seems a little perplexed as to what to do. I think I’ve gotten more information from reading this message board (which I just discovered) than I’ve ever gotten from the doctor. That’s why I really appreciate any input I get from people when I have a question.
Thanks!
