To AmberWe’re in a western suburb. We’ve gone through a couple of different endos. The first one we had semi-retired about a month after she started seeing Caden and to be honest, we weren’t actually that fond of her. Then we tried someone else, but we didn’t really click with her. Finally we found Dr. Sarafoglou (I’m pretty sure that’s how you spell her name!) at the University of Minnesota. She’s fantastic. She runs a CAH clinic once a month at the university. Our son goes every 3 months since he seems to be doing pretty well. When you go they have you meet with the genetic counselor, psychiatrist, nurse, and herself (not all at once, they come in one at a time). What we’ve really liked about her is her dedication and her bedside manner. She remembers Caden, remembers things we’ve talked about, she’ll call to let us know if she’ll be out of town and can’t be reached (and tell us who to call if we need anything), she calls personally with tests results and explains them to us along with sending a letter. She’s great, and to make it even better, our son likes her.
If you’re ever interested, I can give you her contact information. :)
