Dear J,

I really am lost here but doesn’t that particular body part suppose to become bigger when someone is excited/ feels sensation? I thought that was the object of the whole thing ? : )

I talked with my ped endo from way back in the day and he tried to bluff me by going that he was confident that I would of had infections with out genital surgery. yeah ..so eh you based this surgery on an assumption that hadn’t happened or the reality that it looked to male to all of you? which it did considering that I voided from it...lol. And yep : 0 it got erect or engorged also.

I can understand how if your child doesn’t look the way you think is right then I can see the need for surgery and to seek out the best doctor for the time period. But, to do this because of what other say or don’t say? naw ......

HAVE FAITH IN WHAT you decide for your child. Each case is different and how You feel about your child’s surgery is what counts.I told my Mom about surgery that is done on enlarged clitorises and she went " why on earth would anyone ever do that?" but for my surgery with the degree of virilization? she went "Yes, I had that surgery done and I’d have them do it again." You got to respect that conviction there but also the only time that I’ve ever seen her cry was when we talked abotu the surgeries.

I felt duped and betrayed about what was done and don’t like myself because wasn’t accepted for the way I was born BUT also know without a doubt that all the parties involved thought they had my best interest at heart. Medical conditions aren’t that easy at times and nothing makes me more sick then to here people that don’t have any conditions babble on " Oh, it’s so easy to manage" I’ve read about women that had enlarged clitorises and how they didn’t feel good about themselves but each person is different and I’ve always been if you don’t want me for hoe I am then get away from me but then I sit there in schock that these good looking and nice men want to know me and I say to them "Don’t you want that thin Blond over there with out my issues lol. I just went out with this guy thatI  knew ten years ago but forgot about him.

I wrote to you because I like your thoughts and I’ve read about Dr. Poppas and also heard very good things. I like the fact that this doctor and some others have taken a specific interest in CAH and it’s about  Us  : ) not diabetes or thyroid ...even though I have a thyroid condition that has the possibility to turn cancerous and I can add that to the gyno cancer two years ago knock on wood that everything is Ok. Plus ,I have some gastro conditions (celiac sprue, this virus that like to live in my throat and also pushing a fatty liver) I like to write and I work at night - just got done with a 12 hour shift and walked two miles to get home. Ok gotta say it  ; ) I think Dr.Poppas is smokin hot and in the realm of these two cute gastro docs. I think if you have to have cronic medical conditions that it doesn’t hurt that your doctors are pleasent to look at ; ) You went to Harvard? Awesome Brillant man! and you are nice to look at : ) even better.

Trust your judgement J : )

So is everything else doing Ok CAH wise for your Kiddo? and what about college? : ) not to early to think about college.

Anyway this is my last post for this before the Anons come and tell me that I’m this or that. Have to be cautious of the normal people.... lol....It’s their world and I’m just living in it.

I’m going to school in Jan. and that will be consuming along with working 40plus hours a week. I seemed to miss the smart math bent that the Ph and D’s say that people with CAH have and I’m all reading looking into tutors. The first time around that I went to college was a drunken haze but this time around, I’m looking forward to doing it sober.

Happy Holidays!
