MonicaI have decided to follow the circadian rhythm because my daughter stop growing since she was diagnosed this year (March). She is taking 15 mg of cortef per day. The new shedule for her medicine is: 5mg at 3:00 a.m. followed bu 2.5 mg at 7:00 a.m. Another 2.5 mg at 9:30 a.m. and the last dose at 5:00 p.m.
I will appreciate any imput about this schedule. After months of a lot of reading regarding this fact I have a lot of fait. Recently I read that in Europe similar schedules to this one are the one’s more used.
My question to patients or parents with children with non-classic CAH is:
How long did you have to wait to see a change? if any.
What schedules are you using?
What benefits have you see? (growth, obesity, hormone levels)
I am really looking forward for some input. Thank you
