DebWhen my son went to pre school the teacher carried his meds and needle and injection around her waist in a fanny pack. My son is in first grade now and of course his injection and needle are locked in the nurses office. The nurse is only there in the afternoon. She’s in the school acrossed the road in the morning!
If the nurse can’t give the medicine to my son in the afternoon i usually go and give it to him! He’s gets 3/4 pill in the afternoon and that confuses the staff. My son went to get his medicine the one day and the nurse was acrossed the street with an emergency. So my son went to the office and told them it was medicine time and the prinipcal took him to the nurses office and gave him 1/4 instead of 3/4.
Now were talking a masters degree!! The nurse caught the mistake about half and a hour later!!!! I understand your frustration but these are the things you have to face and you have to be an advocate for your child.
God Bless and Good luck!
