our daughter is three and we have only given the shot once or maybe twice because she had a really high fever with the flu at a little over two years old. we did it after conferring with our endo.  didn’t have to go to er.  it was kind of a better safe than sorry situation.  other than that a few double doses every now and then, but perfectly healthy other wise.
