My son is almost six.  I can’t remember how old he was for his first injection.  He has taken it about 5 times.  Two of those times were for broken limbs.  He is all boy!  We have gone to the er obviously for some of the injections, but not all.  It is amazing how quickly a shot will improve their status.  When he has had a high fever and been lethargic, a shot will almost instantly perk him up.  It all depends on the situation.
