Hi,

I’ve been around this board for the last 5 1/2 years.  Early on I posted a bunch and lately not too much although I read it once in a while. I have 4 boys (12, 8, 5 and 3), same dad, and the youngest two have SVCAH. 

I was a mess to begin with but slowly and surely life is very "normal" now.  My 5 yr old started Kindergarten and is doing great!! He has had many "booboos" including a broken leg while playing soccer and, knock on wood, had managed through everything fine without any crisis.  He plays baseball, soccer, spends the night at friends house etc...everything his older brothers have done. My 3 yr old is the same...very active, healthy and happy.  I am always thankful when they reach a milestone because it make me feel so happy and proud of them.  CAH is just part of them, but it doesn’t define them.  I agree that we need more positive stories so that we don’t scare the poor new parents.
