I believe the incidence of PCOS is higher in carriers than in the normal population. In addition, there are many women who have NCCAH who have been misdiagnosed with PCOS.

I would hope the doc would try to figure out what’s causing the high testosterone levels. With your family history of CAH, I would think he would rule out NCCAH before giving a PCOS diagnosis.
