I am not a doctor but I am the mother of the child that was known in my household as "The Little Queen of Teething". So to me this sounds like the teething problem. My daughter didn’t sleep the first year of her life as she teethed her way through all those tiny white teeth of hers. I would put that gum numbing med. on it called AMBASOL. The maker of this item MUST have been a tired parent from walking the halls with a drooling, tired, in pain baby teething. I am not kidding you, I would wake up with my fingers glued together from applying it to her gums in my sleep. It would be stuck to my hair, and heck even I would wind up with some in my mouth, numb. I had wished they made an adult version to numb my own pain. (he he he) Her nose would run, sometimes she would even run a low grade fever. Nothing alarming, just annoying and distrupting to her sleep. Why at night? I think the tooth fairy has some evil spell she casts on our babies. Ugh. I blame the every ten minutes of nursing to the need to sooth her pain. Perhaps try a little tylenol, and get that numbing gum med. you rub on her gums. Oh and get those chewy toys that you stick in the fridge or freezer. They love those things. The bad breath, I can’t pin point for you. Maybe all the drainage from the drool is backing up in the sinuses. Makes for some stinky breath. I don’t know. But like I said, I am not a doctor but if she is in fact teething, I can bet that is what all this is about. Does she take a pacifier? If so maybe get that pacifier out instead of nursing every ten minutes. You may throw your supply off, and her schedule off. If she can use a pacifier instead I would try. Just think, all this for them to loose those stinkin’ little teeth at age five! Then the tooth fairy gets all the glory in the end!!! See I still say she has something to do with this!
