I did time at the U of M ...60 days to be exact because the genital surgeries that were done to me because of this condition created a blockage and it would of been awlful to have some kid from a neighborhood school or mine in there as I went through test such as being stuck on a board with my legs spread open and told to pee if I could so THEY could take x-rays  and not really wanting to be chummy when you are trying to fight off the infection from the blockage and the doctors are all in there just checking what they did to you. Who is going to watch these minors thatyou want to put in with children that are trying to deal with surgeries?  

They do have Candy Stripper programs but I have no idea how old they are. Maybe the age limt is 16 or 17?

 I also remember at the U of Mich that they had these really perky adults that wanted to give you macaroni to glue on cardboard before you faced the CAH exams ...all happy happy then boom door would close and it was jere is a gown and take your panties off for US  because WE  want to Check YOU. Conditions aren’t easy and you seem like a sweet person - maybe you would be a ped nurse or volunteer.

The blood work as a kid ????? I couldn’t wait for it because that ment I was getting outa there! I could of drawn my own blood and to this day have no trouble giving myself a shot .....sometimes we give ourself shots because of adrenal crisis. I gotta be social with some kid because of my condition blahhh when I was in the hospital for the 60 days we actually went to school in there and I did like it. We saw movied in that place also - I remember one nurse sticking the medication in a spoonful of ice cream but I didn’t care and would of just taken the antibotic horse pill anyway becuae I was into the movie.  You made friends with other kids in there becuase you liked them and had things in common and not because they were forced upon you from outsiders.   

I realize that you are very sweet and no nothing abotu the condition but to have some strange person pop up just to be my "friend’ would of been really traumatizing being worn out from surgery,  dealing with adrenal crisis  besides they do keep you pretty buzy with movies, craft projects and school.

Brit, how would you feel to have to endure external genital surgery and then also have some strange young person that wants to cozy up to you? how would you feel having to deal with someone that wants to be your buddy when your adrenal gland is failing you... kiddo the only person that I wanted at that time was the Endo...that man will make me feel better. Social stuff? we do have friends that are friends because of who we are and not what we have. Would you want some other young person that you really didn’t know have info about why you are at a hospital? or that you are even at a hospital ...not me.    

What I write means nothing and everyone else will think this is awesome and that is cool.
